FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Free really free?

Yes — forever. Route planning (curvy and fast), ride recording and replay, live buddy pins and your bike garage never cost anything, and there are no ads. Rider is an optional upgrade for the weather features.

What’s the “weather brain”?

It’s the rain-smart part of motobud: the rain-along-route timeline with leave-later and dry-detour suggestions, storm watch while you ride, and turn-by-turn navigation with voice and speed limits. That’s what Rider unlocks.

How much is Rider, and can I cancel?

Rider is €34.99 a year — a standard App Store subscription. Cancel any time from your Apple account; you keep Rider until the period ends, then drop back to Free.

What’s the Founder license?

A one-time €129 purchase: every current and future feature, forever, plus your name in the app credits. It’s limited to the first 200 riders — a thank-you for backing motobud early.

Where does the rain radar work?

High-resolution ČHMÚ radar covers Czechia with a 60-minute nowcast; across the rest of Europe motobud blends the EUMETNET OPERA composite with Open-Meteo, so the route rain check works Europe-wide.

Which devices?

motobud is on iPhone now, in open beta via TestFlight, and you can plan on the web at motobud.app in any browser. Android is on the roadmap.
